Should have added something to the picture to give scale. Like a quarter. Looks like the connector from a flail mower but they are about an inch.

I'm glad it made it through unharmed. Did you notice any sounds as it was going through the auger?
No did not hear any strange noise. Diameter is about the size of a pellet. Going to start the stove a little later,will listen for any noise.
