Shut stove down today mild outside. Did a quick clean and emptied ash pan. Found this in the burn pot. Looks like a piece of a chain link. Came from a bag of pacific northwest pellets.

Should have added something to the picture to give scale. Like a quarter. Looks like the connector from a flail mower but they are about an inch.
 
No did not hear any strange noise. Diameter is about the size of a pellet. Going to start the stove a little later,will listen for any noise.
