I was wondering if any one uses those creosote blocks you can buy to clean out your chimney and if you do do they work very good? What brand? the ones iv seen are like a log that you light on fire and it lets chemicals go up and clean it out i might try one if they work ok. Thanks

I think the idea is that they dry out the sticky stuff so that it brushes out easily. Never had a need to try, with good dry wood.

No substitue for a good sweeping.

Yea this is my first year and im burning not 100% good stuff but i dont think iv burnt anything over 25% mc but just want to keep it clean and safe.
