The door only opens half way, not all the way and it is practically in the way of loading. It tries to swing shut on us, while loading. I am worried about it closing on us while hot and getting burnt by the door, on our arm. We are using a piece of kindling to keep it from closing on us. Shouldn't it open all the way, or is this how they are made?

Doors swing shut because stoves aren't level. There is a leveling bolt on the HI300 insert that should have been used by the installer to level it.

Call the dealer/installer.
