It actually went up to 756 on the top but the face was over 800 between the bay windows. I decided to stop taking pics and worry a little.

There must have been some unspent wood under the coals I had in there. I had two peices of pallet kindling left....just two 18" x 4" peices...so i threw them in. The air was 1" from being closed off but the fire roared to life...even after i shut the air 100%.

Now the part that worried me afterward was that I didnt smell any of the paint .....which means Ive had it this hot before and didnt know it :eek:hh:
