Hi everyone. I am new here and I did a lot of reading on this site and I want to say thanks to everyone.

I ordered the osburn model 48 pellet stove and everything should be here next week.

I ordered a vent cap (model 3pvp-vc, dura-vent) and I am required to have a spark arrestor. Is this cap considered to be a spark arrestor? I have called several places who didn't know the answer and dura-vent got a couple day wait for a return phone call. If it is not a spark arrestor I would like to get one as soon as I can so everything is here at once.

Thank You, Fred

The pellet vent cap is the approved cap.
Wood stoves have screens in the cap for states that need a spark arrestor.
PELLET stove vents do not have a screen because the Plug up.
but the new Duravent cap has a nice LARGE grid screen to keep most birds from getting down the pipe.
