When I hooked my controler up I got one of them E codes Mine was a loose wire on the back of the controler, I messed up by not loosening the small set screws enough to get my wire all of the way in before tightening.. I would pull the controler out of the face and wiggle some wires and be carefull that power is down before making any repairs..Good luck, Dave
