South Jersey
Live in south jersey and burn a lot of oak and maple. Came across some of this and was wondering what it was. It's been seasoning for about 6 months. Looks like some sort of ash. Any ideas!

Ash for sure.

Yup

White Ash, no less. >>

General consensus is correct. Ash is a very good firewood IMHO and abundant here. More so since the Emerald Ash Borer. It's worth $$ more as firewood now than anything other use. Louisville Sluggers are ash. Sure most of ya know that. Bats burn good.;)

HehHeh . . . bats . . . will have to add that to our growing list of books, peed on cat pellets, Christmas trees and bowling pins. ;) :)
