Burning Hunk
Last night I fancied the look of the stove and a little additional heat, although after a warm and sunny day the temp was 70 inside. I lit the stove and little more than an hour later, the inside temp was 77! This was far too warm for us and we let the stove burn itself out. What a difference from an open fire which would have been days raising the temperature so much and also used several times as much wood. My stove installation is easily the best improvement I have made to my uninsulated stone house. Here is how it looked as we ate our dinner and admired it.
