I just looked at the inside top of my Oslo and observed the insulation blanket was not properly laid on top of my baffle plate. As you can see on the right side the blanket is all bunched up. On the left side it is short and doesnt come close to being even.
It is my understanding the main function of the blanket is to distribute heat and aid in secondary burning.
Is my uneven blanket a problem?
I thought it would be easy to remove the top plate and just reposition the blanket as I have read in previous posts I searched. I found the front bolt easily and can remove that no problem, 3rd pic, but I cant for the life of me figure out how i would get to that back bolt easily without removing the burn tubes and baffle, or removing the flue collar and going from the back (both not easy IMHO). Is there an EASY way to remove this top plate?
