A little background. We bought the house last year. Brought the fireplace (Selkirk Olympic model 2000) up to code. Replaced the Chimney (former owner used incompatible chimney). I know we have done this backwards but now we want a new heater. Chimney is a 7" security. We have been advised that we can use this on the Ultima with a reducer. Does this sound right ?

The main floor of the house is approx 1500 sq ft. We are looking to supplement our heating. The main part of the house is 80 yrs old. So it is not air tight. We are in Ontario Canada so we do see some cold weather here.

We would like some opinions on the stoves/ ZC fireplaces we are looking at. We have been to numerous stores and done alot of looking and talking to the sales people.

These are the heaters that we have narrowed it down to.

Ocburn 2200 or the 2000 (Stoves)
Bis Ultima
and RSF Topaz.

We want something that will give off some good heat but not chase us out of the room.

Is there any serious flaws with the above stoves ?
Does one stand above the others?
We are open to other makes as well.
