If I had a Harman, Quad, Enviro or one of the big name stoves I'd love to answer questions. Unfortunately I know very little about those brands, though I probably know more than I think I do based on what I read here. All I feel marginally qualified to answer are questions about US Stove pellet stoves, not counting that window mount POS.

Now that is funny and I know funny. I have heard of numerous houses that have caught on fire over that unit.

The funny thing, is if you do a Google "Search" (go figure) for your Problem. A Thread from here pops up and about 95% of the time, it should answer the problem/question you had.

But some people (read: A Lot) are pretty stubborn and think there chit is clean...

You mean I gotta clean this thing :(

Yes there are a good hand full of people here that take time out of the day/night to answer questions. No one gets paid and some get yelled at for trying to help. It does get old answering the same question on the same stove 4-5 times in a few days. I am on here more often when the store is slow, I do not mind doing it and I do not have to answer but I do. I am not looking for $$$, I was bored and tired of eating leftover turkey sandwiches.

One time I called my business accountant and asked a payroll question that took a ten minute conversation to answer. A few days later I got a bill for $50.00 for the phone call. I explained to her that I spend all day answering questions and do not send out an invoice for any of them. She did not have anything to say to that other than she will look into it. Never heard back about it but I am in the market for a new accountant.

in here its always more civilized, on the phone ive occasionally had to endure the "you want me to do what?"!!!

usually im thinking , "you want heat?"o_O

nice thing is that usually its a pretty quick thing and the customer watching the fire lighting is usually quite content especially with the added satisfaction that they were aboe to do it themself. what was daunting at a glance was simple upon closer examionation;)

Besides, those of us in training need all the help we can get. Don't think of it as answering the same questions, think of it as training us newbies.

I know. It took me three times to finally fail the drug test.

Seriously, it is one of the unique things about this site that people patiently answer the same questions from new members over and over. Calmly. No "Search is your friend!" or "RTFM!" stuff. Or when it happens and I see it it goes away. Many, many subject area sites are brutal to new people stopping in to ask what to them is an important question.

There are some questions I just can't bring myself to answer "One more time." but I know that we have enough experienced people here that someone will be along shortly to help the poster out.

You folks are to be commended for keeping the joint friendly and helpful. That is what the site is all about.
