How do you seal pipe joints?

I don't think this is a correct characterization of the DuraVent Pro product. "Most" people do well with it. Every pipe has problems if not installed correctly - including the awesome, magical, mystical, impossibly wonderful Excel - as a poster last week noted :)

Properly installed, DuraVent Pro is a fine product, works well, and is completely acceptable for safe use in corn & pellet stoves. It is the leading vent product in the industry now. It's not that because it doesn't work.

As they say, YMMV.
