My son has a Buck Stove, 2700. It is black with a beautiful Brass Framed Glass Door. He is restoring the electrical system, heat sensor and fan motors, etc. He will also be repainting the black. The Brass we have been able to fully polish back to very bright like new shine. However, the brass frame tarnished again in very short order. Is it just caused by the heat from the fire? Is there any way to prevent the immediate tarnishing, some sort oh high heat sealant?

Thanks and All the Best!

It's going to tarnish from the heat. They only look great over the summer when the stove is idle.
