If you want a Dutchwest stove get the 2462 which is the XL. You called it a 2461 XL in the original post. They don't make a 2461 XL just a 2461 Large and a 2462 Extra Large. The 2462 has a 2.9 cubic firebox and should heat the place up just fine.
