I purchased a Stihl 034AV for $20. It was in the case in pieces. The clutch was grenaded which wiped out he oil pump. My local Stihl dealer had all of the parts in stock, and was very helpful providing me exploded views, tips, etc.
The guy I bought it off of said it hasn't run in 10 years. I got it together, mixed up some fresh Sunoco High Test, filled her up. She popped on the second pull, flip to half choke, one pull & she started! It ran great, however, the bar oil ran out the botom of the saw, rather than lube the chain. Oh well, maybe I missed an o-ring. I'll get that taken care of easy enough, but Im excited it's alive! (Maybe this fits better in the "You know wou're a woodburner" thread....You get excited when you rebuild an old saw)
