Hello,
I have a new Mendota FV 34. The flame height adjustment stopped working. I have new batteries in the remote control. A certified technician came out yesterday and had no idea why the flame height adjustment stopped working. Does anyone know what would cause this problem.

Most likely it is the stepper motor on the gas valve. Could also be the integrated fireplace control. Should be easy to troubleshoot using a meter. If the tech can't figure that one out, I would show him the door.
