Hello, I am contemplating putting a 8 inch vent in my fireplace ceiling at running 40 foot of insulated in-line ducting with a built-in in-line vent fan. I’m hoping this will cure the cold bedroom scenario. Has anyone ever tried something like this?

Can you do it pulling from the floor in the bedroom and have the output on the floor of the stove room 10’ or so away from the stove. You would likely do better to move cold air, than to try to move warm air. Maybe do both.
