Did you watch the trailer? Check it out. Watch our "teacher" say "Hey, if you want to change...just get up and change" or something like that.....

My wife and I almost bought into one of these "intentional communities." Back in the early 1920s a bunch of nudists bought about 350 acres in the hills of Morris County, NJ, built some houses, and ran around nekkid in the summertime doing whatever they did. Fast forward to the 1970s and development started to encroach and the nudists started to leave. Now it's just regular folks-you just own your house, not the land under it so you pay practically nothing in property taxes (in a county where they are notoriously high-even by Jersey standards), and it's still pretty secluded. The roads are all dirt but well maintained (the locals get around on ATVs and golf carts), and the houses have about 2-3 acres each. The only thing that scared us off was the condition of the house-it needed a lot more work than we could handle cash-wise. Whoever ended up with the place sure got a deal...

I was on the site below learning about cob ovens. They seem to leave a very small footprint on this planet and live a simple life with close communal ties. Nice, but just not completely for me. I do admire their practices and conservation though.

The wimmins not always wearing upper body undergarments doesn't exactly hurt either. I completely support minmalist clothing, which reduces child labor practices in clothes factories. Right?

While webbie was in his commune I was in one with 246 other guys. Eating together, taking showers together <>, wearing the same clothes and spending our days and nights playing with guns and helicopters. And we had better dope. >> No fortunate son as it were.

Better dope? We had no dope at all....and, from my recent reading, you guys had a lot of good benefits (meals, beer, etc.) there. We had no beer or smokes either...just hard work.

Damn purists...we were. Arbeit Mach Frei.
