P61 temp probe question

    Is it possible to switch out the temp probe with a thermostat? would it be beneficial if you can do it? temp probe not working; when on stove temp thw stove works fine. when on room temp stove doesnt run at all. That is why i am asking before i go and buy a new temp probe. thanks.

    could the wires have come unhooked from the circuit board?
