I Put two pallets together and tacked a few 2x4s in the middle between slats to allow for shorter items like axe ect. Really cleaned up the garage.

Shoot if you run pallet slats in through the middle and screw them in you could hang it on the wall sideways !

I saw a jelly jar rack made from pallet wood. Rustic, but rugged.

    Something like this:

I've seen web sites where people re-use pallets for all sorts of things. I picked up a 12' mahogany pallet this summer. It is cut up and waiting to be made into something, I just don't know what yet.

It is gorgeous wood Pete. The pieces are cut to about 16" long but clear stock. They will probably turn into nice boxes or picture frames once put through the surface planer. I almost made my wood storage box out of them, but the pieces were too short. It was just too nice to pass up. The right project will come along.
