LOL. Sez the guy who rides a barely muffled hog. ;lol
 
I have mine most of the time on the lowest setting possible and turn it only up when them temps go over 700 F and keep climbing. 2 to 3 hours into the burn I also often turn it off and let the natural convection do its thing. Granted, I have an interior fireplace and the masonry acts a a large heat sink storing any heat that got stuck around the insert.
