I think the manual says a vertical rise of 1.5m minimum. 4 foot horizontal will fill with ash very quickly..

Local dealer told me they make a contraption that allows you to be able to put it 18" from a window. That being said I did not go with the $70 piece, mine is vented 3' from a window pointing in the opposite direction.
Here is a thought I do not open window when pellet stove is running
Some WETT test inspectors let the window clearance slide as long as you render the window inoperable. My inspector told me to either put a screw in the window (no thanks) and cut a 2x2 (painted it white) and lepaged it in.
