Please help: Whitfield Profile 30

Someone please help me before it gets too cold.
Hi, my profile 30 is acting up. It works good until I try to shut it down then the auger wont stop turning. It stops feeding at intervals but keeps turning slowly so pellets drop into the hopper. Then when my stove shuts down I still hear the auger motor turning, at this point I have to unplug it to kill the auger motor. Any ideas, thanks.

Sounds like something on your controller is bad.

You didn't leave it plugged in during the summer without a surge suppressor by any chance did you?

No, l had it unplugged all summer.... U think I may need to replace or repair the control panel then, that's expensive. Thanks
