I agree. We had a little snow yesterday afternoon that turned into rain. Darn Heat Miser.

Although I don't mind if it waits until we get the snow tires on, lol.

We got about 4" last night. Just in time for me to take the mowing deck off the tractor.
Plow's been on for a few days, but I hate dealing with the deck. Plowing today with the deck still on was......interesting.
I was going to say you can have our snow, but we need it too bad.

I feel the same way, Zap. I am sick and damm tired of this rainy, swampy mess here around my house. It's just plain ridiculous. I can remember as a kid we'd ALWAYS had snow from mid/late November right through mid/late March. The past couple of years have been just plain PATHETIC. I'm almost ready to move WAY up north.....

Some snow would be okay. I just want the ground to stay frozen so I can get wood easier! As long as the snow doesn't get to deep I will be good to go. The weater it is a changing Scotty. It is too bad.

Looks good up there zap. We don't have a lot but the ground is covered, at least it is back here in the woods. When we go out into the open we wonder where the snow went!

Nothing big on the horizon just yet for snow. Warming up to 40 again by the weekend.

That's what I'm thinking. Maybe just a tad Southeast of him, anyway. Minnesota got a nice winter blast last weekend.......wish I was out there with the sleds!

Mid 30's down to the mid 20's for the next 5-7 days, looks like we might get some snow but nothing big forecast yet.

Keep your eye on the forecast starting Friday, could be another system coming our way, not sure yet if it's rain or snow.

I'll drive in the snow but the freezing rain is a no go for me. That same night we were 25 degrees when I hit the hey, woke up with the temp at 38.

boy I sure hope it cools down before then. It's just ridiculously mild here. I don't see any REAL cool-down in the forecast......

Looks like it'll be more damm RAIN.

AccuWeather is saying it's possible we'll have three systems come through by Christmas, I think with the colder weather we have we'll get it.

Here's to hoping that the cold, locked-up Arctic air can bust out and get down this way in time for a white Christmas!! That's all that this fella wants for Christmas (oh and to have the hearth done in the living room so the kids can open their presents up in front of the fireplace!)

Please, ring all the snow out of the system before the low hits here. We usually get enough to share with everyone.
Weather is so odd. The winter befor last,we had snow up over our ash cans. This past winter, there wasn't enough for the snowmobiles. This winter, I already had my lawn dug up by the town plow. What a mess!

They are now telling us to prepare for a big one next Monday... Too early to tell if it will be snow or rain though.

Hired a guy to put a metal roof on my house and mudroom . . . when I was up on the roof a month or two ago I noticed it was pretty bad. Roofing just came in Tuesday morning at around 6 a.m. I'm looking forward to a year of not using my roof rake after every snow storm.

Incidentally . . . if anyone has any really good memories . . . or if you do a search . . . you'll see I changed my mind about metal roofing. Way back when I actually had a post where I said I preferred asphalt shingles to metal roofs . . .

Glad you are getting a new roof Jake. What color did you go with?

I have two different height roofs. The high ones and the low(porch) ones. I put dark green metal on the high ones and wrapped the 2x6 facia with the same colored metal to make it look a little sharper. My wife wanted arch. shingles on the lower roofs so I went with that. As long as I had less maintenance and the snow came off of the higher roofs well, I was happy.
