    Well when I installed my new igniter it took about two minutes to start a fire.

    It now takes about 9 minutes.

    What is wrong with my heating system?

    Sounds like you you started it with a propane torch (2 min), then when you ran out of propane you used a match (9 min). ha ha

    Now folks you appear to be lacking in the area of pressing the issue at hand, the stove was getting more ash in the works as time went on. I responded to the dirty stove answer (which was correct) with the stock response one gets while trying to help folks on here. I was looking for some push back and suggestions about places one might overlook while doing their normal cleanings.

    The area that was piling up was at the top of the drop into the ash trap on each side of the heat exchanger. I hadn't used the leaf blower for some time.
