Looks like some sealant around feed tude is coming off. Is the stove safe to run and is this just normal high temp stove sealant or somthing special.

Was the sealant just silicone? If it is go to your local HD or Lowe's and pick up some more high-temp silicone and cover up around the feeder assembly.
 
Not sure, I do know it's not a weld. It's light, brittle but hard to the touch. I break it in half easily. Will hit HD if its the same stuff just making sure.
 
That is probably Milpak, another type of hi temp sealant. Yes silicone will do the same thing and will work fine.
