Ok guys I have read and read and dont fully understand the term cat stove..What exactly is meant by a cat stove? I have a Quadrafire 7100, Is this a cat stove?

No, you have a non-cat stove. Your stove uses lots of air and high firebox temperatures to burn up smoke for clean emissions. A cat stove is equipped with a catalytic converter, not unlike your car, that eats up the pollutants without requiring high firebox temps and extra combustion air. This allows the cat stoves to burn cooler for longer periods.
