I'm looking at doing a DIY wood stove insert installation. I have a masonry fireplace with fairly small clearances. I'm looking at smaller inserts like the Osburn 1600 or 1800, but those won't leave much room (couple inches) to reach into the fireplace and work on the stove once it is in place. The height clearance also won't allow me to connect the chimney liner to the stove before I slide the stove into place. Any advice or ideas? Can I somehow connect them by reaching through the stove vent and just pulling the liner down into the stove once it is in the fireplace?

The connections varry allot for stove to stove. I have never seen one that could be slid in after the liner was hooked up. There is always some way to attach it after it is in. Usually angle brackets you screw to the stove and then screw to the liner once it is in. But there are many other setups

Thanks for your reply! My problem is that once the stove is in place, there is only an inch or two clearance between the stove and fireplace opening. My hands/arms won't fit into that opening to screw anything down.
