Drained my boiler today, repaired a couple of nagging leaks that showed up a few weeks ago. Some Blue Monster to the treads and better than new. Glad it was simple, refill went smoothly and air purged easily!

It was going along fine and the leaks showed up ? Did you have to drain the whole thing ?

They showed up when outside temps really dropped off and running boiler hard. I put off the project for a while, shouldn't have it was simpler than I thought! Drained boiler only, 25 gals. Storage was isolated by valves.
