I just broke one of the glass pieces in the middle of the window on my Surdiac 516. Can anyone outline the steps involved in replacing it (I have some on order)? I can't see how the door would come apart, or does the glass just slip in somehow? It's getting mighty cold!

My old Effel stove had a simmilar setup using glass strips the strips were held in by a channel fastened by phillips jead screws pleas post a picture of your door fron and rear; What I did to tie me over was cut alumium strips the same thickness as the glass strips and remove one good glass strip ans install two alumium ones on each side of the door for a balance look then remove the alumium ones t when I got the replacement glass it worked well in a pinch
