I finally got around to replacing the bearing in the combustion motor on my P43. I ordered replacements a while back. Bearing number was 608rs I ordered 608z which should be the same bearing just a stainless shield instead of the rubber.

Problem is the new bearing slip right on and are not tight, the shaft will turn in side the bearing.

Old bearing is 7.90 mm 0.311 in and the new is 8mm 0.315 in

Shaft measures 7.90 mm 0.311 in

I have looked online but can't seem to come up with the right one.

All other bearing dimensions are correct just the bore it off.

I guess the motor manufacturer could have had a company make 608 bearings with a custom bore size.

Any ideas on where to find the correct bearing?

Thank you.

I'd be inclined to try and shim it with a turn of foil tape.

I have some brass shim stock, that may be an option, with a bit of red loctite.
