Rust in my Quadra Fire Castile?

I was surprised to find that my Castile after only one burning season started to rust on the inside of the stove. So the question here is, how do I go about painting the inside or what kind of oil should I use to prevent the rust. Also, after I paint the inside should I oil the inside as well?

By the "inside", I'm assuming you mean the burning area? If so, painting is one thing you can do, or some of these ideas:
