Hi all,
New to pellet stove burning. Just got a new Breckwell P24 last August and burned it over the winter. I loved the heat it put out. I cleaned it at the end of the season and haven't really looked in it until my sister came over the other day. There is rusty spots on the inside of the stove and on the burnpot and heat tubes. What would be the best way to go on this? Sand and repaint? The last thing I want is a stove with rust holes in it! Thanks for your help.

just run it a while, and it'll clear up... for next summer, get a small bag of silica that companies put inside shipping packages to absorb moisture (the stuff in the little packets in your bag of beef jerky, also, many stoves in the crate have a bag of this stuff in them, which usually gets tossed out) this will help suck up some of the humidity the stoves insides get exposed to from the pipes going outside.

You're fine. It's only surface rust. Most stoves come with paint for spot painting. Just lightly sand it and repaint it.
