Splitter opinion ?

That looks like a pretty good price to me.
 
Doubtful as is. Lacks a proper reservoir. Belt drive not capable of handling adaquate gpm and psi. Some fittings appear to be not rated for hydraulic use.

It may split wood but will be very weak, tonnage wise.

I agree with Triptester...now for the good part, a simple pump change and a couple of fittings could really turn this beast around.

EDIT: aww crap, never mind. To increase the tank size, you would also need to change the control valve (without doing a bunch of custom work to the original).
 
negetative...more of a headache in my opinion, unless your the one who built it. you should be able to find a much newer splitter, or heck, jsut buy a new one. TSC has extended payment plans if need be
