My infrared died after 15 years, so I slapped one of the magnetic thermometers on it. It was nicely into the "optimum" range but I was sceptical of the accuracy. I ordered a new infrared and I was right. The magnetic is consistently 200 degrees cooler. Anyone else not trust the magnetic?

I bought a cheap one which under reported by 100 + degrees compared to my IR. I sold it back to Menards.

Mine was free with my thermo-electric fan. It was worth what I paid for it.
