I know that Super Cedars is a product sponsor on this site---so no disrespect intended --> I tried them in the fall and they were OK. No problems ...just OK. I usually use the Rutland fire starter squares from home depot -- I think it was $12 for 100 ct. box. I think they work just as well, for alot less $$. I only really light fires in fall and spring (current fire has been burning since late Oct.), so a box of 100 will last several years.
I should say that if the Super Cedars CAME in smaller pieces (no quartering needed) and were similarly priced---I would absolutely buy them again. But for me,it is just easier to drop a square under some small splits and watch it go.
Don't kill me,guys....I know y'all swear by 'em. It's just my experience. Don't be hating on me,now. ;-)
