In The Woods
Did some trail clearing this morning plus brought one ironwood and some beech out, started raining pretty good so I called it a day about 1:15.

This trail will give us access along the base of this hill.

Sounds like you accomplished 2 things in one, clearing the trail and getting wood. I noticed you have a Lopi Liberty. So do I ,and I love it. Love the 24" wood.

When I cleared the trail I grabbed one downed ironwood with the rest of what I cleared was one basswood (rotten) two pines and one rotten birch.

We love the Liberty but have changed to burning north/south.

Looks like a good day in the woods, Zap. Nice to have that kind of property to work.

Hang in there Zap. Looks like we are locked into a rainy spell. Yet, by next weekend we should be back to more normal temperatures or a little above and not so much rain. It is really wet out there now and also cold.

Remkel, it is nice and we consider ourselves lucky we have the property.

The weather forecast this morning is for nine more days of rain, I will work on stacking and splitting during this wet period plus I am making a path to the wood stacks wide enough for the truck to get through so I'm handling the wood one less time.

GIBIR needs to remember the skeeter & tick spray!

Thanks for the pick me up Zap :coolsmirk: Looks like we might at least see the sun a little towards the end of the week.

Lots of rain here to. It's starting to get deppresing. I just want to get outside and work without a rainsuit and mud. Chance of rain everyday next week. On the brighterside at least I don't have to worry about flooding like everyone along the Missisipie. Wish I could get to the woods without mud bogging.
