So as I announced last spring, I was expecting twins this fall. Needless to say, much of my wood processing did not get done, as trying to split wood while 4-6 months pregnant in the heat is pretty much a non-starter to begin with, let alone with TWO babies. So we're currently running electric heat and I'm telling myself that it's just extra seasoning time and trying not to think about money. But more importantly I have PICTURES. Their names are Augustus Luke and Thomas Graham. I went into labor at thirty-five weeks on the dot- not too early for twins but a little earlier than we would have liked. Gus was five pounds, six ounces (not too shabby!) and Thomas was six pounds, fifteen ounces (I am kinda glad he didn't get an extra couple weeks in there!) Holding my son Thomas for the first time. He had to go to the NICU because he was having trouble getting the water out of his lungs. He was only there for about a day and a half, though, and we all came home together.
