What Should I ask for my gas insert/liner?

I am replacing my Clayton Gas insert with a wood burning one so I have to replace the 4" flue liner with a 6" liner. The question I have is what is a reasonable price to ask for my Clayton 40GI gas insert fireplace, gas fireplace logs, as well as the 4" liner that is currently in my chimney? The fireplace was there when we moved in, and I know the guy paid around $1300 when it was installed(with liner) in 1993. Any advice would be helpful.

Put it on craigslist for $100, gas inserts in my area are not in high demand like wood inserts.

$100 with liner? Its pretty much brand new/hardly been used.

You said it was installed in 1993, I would hardly call that new, maybe it was unused, but for sure not new.

Just my 2cents. Ask what you want for it, your local market will let you know what it is worth.

In all honesty, if you get somebody to come and take it away for free you will be doing better than I expect you to.

A gas insert from 1993 goes in the scrap heap IMO.
