Saw this on social media. Cute idea.

Some folks see this as crafty artwork . . . I simply see it as a quick, hot fire for the Fall or Spring time.

Great. Now I can't get the picture out of my head of a burning snowman with a completely different, startled looks on his face.

He must know his wood; Looks like he used some crappy soft Maple. ;)

My mother sent me a text the other day. She was at Pottery Barn and they were selling cut chunks of wood debarked and sealed for $299. Not even kidding. Showed it to another teacher in my lunch and she said she would buy one for cheaper.

I'm in the wrong business.

I had to call bullshit on this so I did some research and sure as chit, we are all in the wrong business. It looks like someone called BS on the chunk of wood with rope because it is no longer available:

But all that crappy pine you dare not put in your stove now has a great use if you can cover the expense of the paint and MDF and still make a profit:

Now I have to go back to trying to break even running an honest auto repair facility.

my wife sells home made crafts and also simple furniture/light fixtures and such. She had me cut up a poplar round I had. She sold each piece for like $15 to someone whom wanted them as wine bottle holders for tables at a wedding. Wasn't $299, but $15 a piece for poplar, is a good day for me everyday.

I wouldn't lie to ya brother!

Man at that rate I am spending probably $18,000 a month to heat my house.

Best part is it is imported, can you imagine the F#$#@ing carbon foot print of that piece of wood. They seriously could not find someone in the USA to cut and varnish some trees for them? With the shipping costs I bet they are paying $1.00 each at the country of origin.

Ah shades of PT Barnum

Ya'll could start selling this stuff. Lots of 1%ers out there to sell to.
