I have been messing with my Advantage for about a year now trying to figure it out. Pouring over information etc. The people who installed it are no help at all. They won't even service it any more so I'm stuck with doing it myself.

This is what my stove does: It seems to be stuck in pilot mode where all the lights blink and do not go back to a steady rate or "demand mode" I have jumped the lo limit switch and also the thermostat as it has a thermostat attached to it. To get my stove to even function and it always just burns out I took the control board off and turned the grey voltage meter for the blower fan all the way up and the pellet feed and combustion air dials all the way up also. I have no scorch marks on my control board but I did have to replace my fuse. I have the back taken off and it seems now I have to kind of coax my auger into moving by tapping on the auger motor. I have made sure the spinning part is secure and it woirks most of the time but then sometimes it acts like it's not getting enough voltage. Like it stutters.

My main problem is being stuck in pilot mode. I have the service manual and I have read all of it and it explains to me what it's doing but not how to fix it.

Please help. It's the only way to heat my basment and I'm so tired of looking at it and not being able to fix it!

I guess the first question I have is, was the stove new when installed, and if so, why isn't dealer getting involved in getting this fixed?

If you bought it used, then you'll have to hope someone on here can help. You could also shoot a PM to a member on here who seems to know a lot about Whitfield stoves. His forum name is "Mr Whitfield"

Unfortunately it was a used stove. Came with the house. I'm almost open to replacing it with something else. My home is all electric and I used to have a pellet stove and I don't really like them and especially when they don't work! Thanks for your input. I'll find and PM Mr. Whitfield.

Bad Control Board, you will need to replace it. Make sure you use a surge protector..

Thanks for all your help. It's the control board as mentioned above. Now the trick is ... where can I get one where I won't have to pay $400.00 for one? Can't believe they go for that much!
