Hello everyone just signed up and looking for some input on the above furnace. Had one installed about a month ago and within 12 hours things started moving sideways. Motor was making a grinding noise and the cutters were not turning. Motor was to hot to touch. The #2 light was flashing and there was no fire in the pot. They installed without the shield, to begin with. After getting it running for a few hours here and there, I discovered the shaft was not turning the cutters and motor just sitting there cooking away.
Went in and discovered the shaft was not connected into the cutters. Techs had been out once or twice already. Tech came out saw the problem and got it running by moving shaft closer to the cutters so they would engage. We were waiting on a new blower and motor. After a week the motor and blower showed tech came out and installed new parts. Within two hours we were back to square one, no flames and now a loud grinding noise. Tech came back put in a new thermostat thinking that might be issue. Again within a few hours we were in the fault mode again.
Main tech is scratching his head and ordered a new burn pot. we are waiting for that to show, in the mean time he showed my wife how to mickey mouse it into working. Being the inquisitive type she went up stairs and turned the t-stat off and back down to furnace, and got it to operate in the smart start mode with the thermostat turned off.
I have been traveling and get home tomorrow to look at this thing again. Wife went to dealer yesterday to let them know of the displeasure I have been suffering while this does not work.
So my main question is anyone else have start up issues with there Revolution furnace? Did I just get one that was built on a Tuesday after a 3 day weekend. If next fix doesn't work I will ask for a completely new furnace. At least I haven't paid for this one yet so I know the dealer is working on it. Thanks for any input you might have, and apologize for being so long but I have left out several service calls that have failed.
