Gentlemen,
I have owned a 55 SHP-10 for over 4 years that heats practically my entire home here in the northeast and has flawlessly.
I just purchased another for my garage.
My garage is pretty well insulated but no perfectly insulated.
Both stoves are primarily the same exact setups pipe height, spacing, pipe size, oak, everything except the garage one has a 45 pipe where the upstairs stove has a 90 going out.
The downstairs stove gives off very little heat and the heat it does give is on the left side facing the stove and it maybe about 70 degrees, the right side has luke warm air at best coming from it.
The flame and burn seem pretty normal just no heat into the space.
The very top of the stove right above the door that gets very hot to the touch on the upstairs stove is kinda hot on the left and just warm on the right on this stove.
The sides and door are hot per usual.
No matter what settings I set it on it does not make a difference
The bottom 3 numbers were set to 161 (left to right facing the side) when I received it and are now set to 641 (facing the side) the factory settings that I got from the upstairs stove that has never been touched from day one.
Did you guys change something since our last stove?
On the Hearth.com forum I read to check to be sure it is set to #3 by booting the computer and pressing two buttons at the same time but I really do not want to mess with it until I hear from you guys.
Please help I really need this stove to perform as well as the other one upstairs that we have become accustomed to.
