Dang, that blows. I bucked a trunk like that last summer for $100. It was actually kinda fun. Easy cutting, and all I had to do was scoot the rounds around that were in my way.
Like the chief says, them knarly pieces can be dense. I picked up a couple loads from my MIL's town after a tornado went thru, and it was the longest burning silver maple I've ever had. There were many huge trees, and everybody took the easy stuff. I cut for three days all over town, and ended up with two loads of wood that I wanted to take home.
