I made a drawing showing my house. All the rooms stay nice thru out the winter except bedroom 1. I have a drolet savannah wood stove that has a blower on the back. Please look at the drawing, please give advice how to get heat in bedroom one, and which type of fan to use facing which way.

Fan on the floor in the doorway of the living room closest to the stove, blowing towards the stove. Another on the floor, in the doorway of bedroom 1, blowing into the living room. Tape a strip of TP at the top of the doorways so you can see air movement. Move the fans around a bit and you will see some changes. A foot or two can make a big difference.

Or, depending on the layout of the kitchen, a fan in the other doorway of the living room might be better. It might be best to blow cool air in that end and pull warm air in the other door. You'll have to experiment and see.

Really, the TP is a big help.

+1, fans work wonders. we use a small 12" fan on the floor 25' away from the stove room.

This is an easy one. A desktop fan (you can use a box fan if not too large else it will be drafty in the house) set in the doorway of that bedroom. You can aim it at an angle to blow into the stove room. Run the fan on the lowest speed. This should do the trick nicely.

We fought with this problem for a long time with a long hallway. Setting a small fan (4" blades) in hallway on low speed did the trick right away.

Good luck.

I'm cheap . . . desktop fan sitting in a doorway pointing towards the stove.
