Love of wood burning, and insects

This photo depicts a tree on our property that had honey bees going to and from the opening. The tree was in decline for several years and we wanted to preserve the wild/natural hive. We noticed zero bee activity and cut it down due to hazards. This is what we found when we salvaged it.

You are right. We need to clean that out and slice it up. We tried cutting it earlier but the saw got all gummed up.
