Thanks everyone - My dog and I are pretty much together all the time. He loves when I am playing with the wood pile but the only help he offers is a little chewing on sticks. Not completely sure what he actually is but I am pretty sure there is husky in there and??? Rescued him from the black needle a long time ago and he is long in the tooth at about 12yrs old and rolling on a bionic knee
Not as much snow as it looks Scotty - maybe 2-3" out there and going fast. Looking at the 10 day we are going to be getting warmer everyday heading towards 50 next week. I was just happy to get one more frozen day to gather a little more before the mud season hits. I think I have between 6 and 8 cord split and piled in different spots on the property, maybe more. Along with yesterdays haul of rounds I should be 3+ ahead once it is all nestled in with the CSS I have in the stacks. As usual it is mostly ash but I have some cherry, elm and maple mixed in and a couple cord of red oak.
The 036 makes me wonder how I ever lived without the power. Sure makes getting a trailer full go quick. If you look close, the RH tail light is broke(again) I fixed/replaced them last summer and have never had it on the road yet - arggg! As a welder you would think I would fab up some better protection. I really should just cut them off because I rarely take it on the road and it is so small you can see my lights on the truck anyway. For $250.00 that trailer has hauled a lot of wood and with the tilt bed it works well to haul the quad if necessary.
I may be done cutting in any volume for the season becuase next weekend is regionals for the wrestlers I coach and the following weekend I am headed to Florida with my brother and sister to surprise our mother on her 70th birthday. By the following weekend I am pretty sure the swamp will be mudville.
I did find one of my scout cameras I had forgotten while I was out cutting yesterday and it was still taking pics - at least I know some bucks made it through gun season because I have pics of many hitting the scrape it was scouting as late as January 31.
