Hi,

First post here. I have recently bought a house and there is this stove installed and i think it is some version of intrepid maybe?

it is stamped 1987 in the back of the fireplace, it has a single door which has the numbers 6737 and 1589 stamped on the inside, and also the letter A.

The first winter i didn´t even know that this model probably is a catalytic one so i actually never engaged that mode since to me it seemed that the fire was not burning enough when doing so.
Then i had a chimney sweep and this person informed me that the stove is equipped with catalytic so since then i have tried using this mode but from what i can tell there is more smoke coming from the chimney when catalytic mode is engaged so i think i need to open it up to check if it is ok or not.
So i would really need to know what model i have and get an manual of some kind so i know how to access and clean/replace this or what is needed.

Hi again, i had no image available when posting the first time. Here are two pictures, on of the whole stove and one from inside the burnbox with the 1987 stamped in the back. In need of a cleaning i know :)

update:
Got information from the local supplier, this version is called Danica and it is a Intrepid och Intrepid II mounted in this chassie. I got the instruction manual so finally i was able to understand how everything is connected and supposed to work.
Now I just need to find out why there is still coming smoke from the chimney even when in catalytic mode, not black but greyish and from what i understand there should be no smoke but just some heat coming from the chimney.
