76 Grandma & Grandpa Question

I've seen the 76 GP stoves with the taller early version trees on the doors, and I've seen the 76 GM stoves with the shorter trees on the doors.

Were any 76 GP doors made with the shorter trees?

We're any 76 GM doors made with the taller trees?

I've read the "everything Fisher" thread, all 25 pages, and I've read all 8 pages in the GM/GP thread and didn't find the answers there. Maybe I overlooked it though.

Thanks for the fast reply. I knew I wasn't the first person to ask that question, and I know you've covered just about everything there is to cover, but my eyes went crossed reading all these threads to find that info.

Does all that excessive heat damage the cast iron doors? It seems like it would make the steel more brittle after repeated red-hot burns.

I found another thread where you described "this" below in post #5. I didn't know that stoves from 1977 had stars without with no number in them.

"Trees and stars tell me it's a 1976 if it has a '76 on the right door large star or a '77 if it only has stars with no '76. Most Fisher stoves do not have the trees and stars. That was only the first year the double door stove was introduced."
