Jotul is one of the oldest stove makers in the world. They have been making stoves since 1853. The company started in Norway and now also has a manufacturing and assembly plant in Maine.

The Jotul F118 was a well know box stove with a reputation for good heating and the ability to take long splits. It has been replaced with the F118CB.

The Jotul Alpha was a modern looking catalytic stove introduced to America in 1987. It did not prove very popular and was discontinued in the early 1990's.
